Charities

Procept Associates Ltd. is a business that is based upon a strong moral and ethical foundation. From its founding, Procept has shared its success by giving back to the community in various ways. While most of our giveback efforts have been focused on groups aligned with our lines of business, some have been focused on supporting charitable groups providing services to the community in general. Below are some we currently support.

Currently Supported Charities

The Brilliant-Minded Women Foundation is a Canadian charity that promotes the advanced education of Canadian women.  It's mandate is to provide publicly-available scholarships and bursaries to female students throughout Canada and to provide coaching and mentoring to the selected students to excel in their academic endeavours.

Procept has supported this charity since 2022 through substantial cash donations, bursaries to BMWF participants in its courses, and volunteer hours provided by our associates.

About the BMWF

Procept supports the World Wildlife Fund in its efforts to protect endangered species and aid in support of Earth's biodiversity. Procept believes that a healthy natural environment, with supporting legislation to protect the species in Earth's various ecosystems, will allow the human race to endure and prosper. To that end, we provide direct financial support of the WWF.

Staff members from Procept and its TidalShift subsidiary have jointly raised funds for the WWF through their efforts to climb the 1,776 stairs (148 flights) of the CN Tower in Toronto, Canada. Procept typically matches any funds raised by the team, doubling the contribution to the WWF. Team Procept has ranked in the top 20 teams out of over 7,000 climbers in their fundraising efforts.

About the WWF

Freedom is an important factor in Canada's success. Procept has benefited directly from the freedoms our country's constitution and its laws. Supporting the fight to protect our freedoms, Procept directly supports the Canadian Civil Liberties Association through its charitable foundation Canadian Civil Liberties Education Trust. Procept donates a portion of its revenues to this organization.

About the CCLA

Crossroads International empowers women and girls by fostering sustainable job opportunities in some of the world's most underserved communities.  Procept sponsored the organization's 2025 Anniversary Charity Challenge in Senegal, which raised funds for Crossroads and its partner organizations in the region including Association pour la Promotion de la Femme Sénégalaise (APROFES) and Réseau des Organisations Paysannes et Pastorales (RESOPP).

The Knights of Columbus Council 8951 Annual Charity Golf Tournament was started in 2013 in Port Perry, Ontario. Since its inception, Procept has been involved in this event. For the first two years, one of Procept's associates was on the organizing committee for the event and provided many prizes.

Starting in the 4th annual event, Procept sponsored the event directly, and has done so ever since.

The event raises money for the Knights of Columbus, a charitable fraternal organization who contributes money to many local, regional, and national causes including the local food bank, the local hospital, and various other charities.
