In her public addresses, Hellen Keller famously stated “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." This sentiment is just as true today as when she first spoke it over 100 years ago. Today, California, USA-based leadership development firm Barnes & Conti Associates Inc. is announcing a collaboration with Procept Associates Ltd., a global management development company headquartered in Canada, to focus on expanding access to Barnes & Conti’s offerings and supporting new ways for their teams to work together. Procept has been working with Barnes & Conti for many years and has delivered Barnes & Conti courses through its Canadian and international operations.
As a part of the collaboration, Procept will be able to use and incorporate Barnes & Conti’s intellectual property in its offerings. The collaboration is designed to assist Barnes & Conti with day-to-day management of some existing operations and leverage Procept’s processes and systems to optimize service delivery to clients. B. Kim Barnes, founder of Barnes & Conti supports the collaboration, saying “I am enthusiastic about the benefits that this new collaboration will bring to our clients: more course topics, a larger pool of accredited facilitators, new developments in innovative digital services, and more streamlined back-end operations based on Procept’s ISO-9001-compliant processes.” Barnes & Conti will continue to own and deliver its learning solutions and both companies will remain independent as they explore opportunities created by their collaboration.
Kevin Aguanno, Procept’s president, confirms that existing customers will see only benefits from this arrangement: “At the start, Barnes & Conti will be outsourcing some of its back-office functions to our company while its client-facing operations continue with the legacy business. The same courses will be delivered by Barnes & Conti’s certified facilitators and clients should not see any material changes in the existing offerings or in their points of contact. Existing client contracts should be unaffected by these changes. Moving forward, clients will see an increase in new courses including instructor-led, self-directed, and hybrid learning options. Procept will gain access to the full catalog of Barnes & Conti offerings, its highly-respected facilitators, and its international network of partners.”
By bringing together the operational excellence, global reach, and financial resources of Procept with the deep research-based, leadership development expertise of Barnes & Conti, the collaboration creates a powerhouse that will carry Barnes & Conti’s legacy into a future shaped by a growing emphasis on leadership, artificial intelligence and evolving preferences for training modalities.
