This certification is intended for those instructors where the focus rests in technical arenas including IT, IS, manufacturing, engineering and financial subject matter.

To earn this certification, four (4) courses are required:

  • Teaching Technical Topics OR Teaching Computer Systems and Software
  • Instructional Design
  • and any two (2) electives chosen from the following:
    • Effective Classroom Instruction
    • Web-based Training
    • Teaching Computer Systems and Software
    • Needs Analysis, Evaluation and Validation
    • Facilitation Skills
    • Managing the Training Function
    • The Trainer as an Internal Consultant
    • Teaching Technical Topics

Join the thousands of instructors, designers and training managers who have attended PMI1 workshops to advance their professional training careers since 1965. The addition of a PMI Professional Certificate2 will showcase your skills and set you apart from peers in the training field.

To enroll in PMI's professional certification program, simply complete and return the application form identifying which classification best suits your needs and note any PMI programs you have already completed. All PMI workshops completed over the past three years will be used toward the attainment of your certificate and you may be certified in more than one classification. A status report will be sent to you once your application has been processed.
