Starting in Q4 2026, PMI will be changing what training will be accepted as meeting the minimum 35 hours of PM training required to meet the eligibility requirements to write the PMP exam. Currently, almost any PM training could satisfy this requirement. Under the new restrictions, PMI will only count live PM training delivered by PMI Authorized Training Partners (PMI ATPs) such as Procept, PMI REPs in China, or certain accredited academic programs delivered from a higher-education institution (college or university). After the switchover, Applications submitting training performed prior to Q4 2026 that was delivered from a non-ATP or non-accredited academic program (such as most university continuing education programs) will not be accepted and the PMP application will be rejected.
Please ensure your PMP exam prep training is accepted by taking it through Procept, Canada's leading project management training company and a long-time PMI partner.
